Southwest Wheat

Southwest Wheat

First brewed November 2014.

Get your groove on with this crisp, clean pale wheat ale (Formerly the Two Steppe). This is a wheat beer with a twist as it's fermented using an ale yeast and fermented at lower temperatures. This gives it a very different flavour profile than other wheat beers (like our summer Heritage Wit). This means it doesn't have some of the characteristics normally associated with the more common German style wheat beer: banana, cloves, esters, etc. Instead it's a clean and crisp taste with a bit of hops on the finish. This is a great gateway craft beer. Smooth and easy to drink.

Crisp and refreshing wheat ale that leads with yeast flavours and a slight hoppy bitterness and finishes with subtle notes of citrus.
